theyre a bunch of jealous bitches on youtube. if you play a song verbatim from the original recording they'll say you have no creativity.....if you add your own little changes to songs they say youre disrespecting the original artist or youre additions suck. and these youtube critics always say they play it so much better, yet they never post videos of themselves because theyre embarassed by their own lack of skill. i can't stand most other guitarists, some take it waaaaaayyyyyy too seriously and theyre so competitive with it as if you get a fuckin medal for being the best youtube guitarist.

one word, music snobs. sorry that's two words.
i wouldn't dare snub anyones guitarwork. who cares if it's exactly the same, better or worse?
i've had critical vocalists who couldn't see beyond themselves too. i've also had other non-musicians jeer my vox but what do they know? one person was serious when he said i should cut out the vox to one of my song covers. man i don't write or cover songs just so for them to be insrumentals.
fact is, everyone is a critic, only some people choose not to be fairly constructive in it. also if you get more positive reactions than not, then you must be doing something right. but then talent isn't really the key issue as when i started out i had none, just the love of it was enough, talent only then grows with determination.
who cares who rips who off, any oasis fans who rip into other people for this forget that even Noel occasionally rips off other peoples work although he credits them for it. most artists i'd say do. every musician is inspired by someone. _________________ Loch Lomond, Scotland. 4th Aug, 1996

thanks, it's a toughie to play that one, but a joy at the same time
yes, i decided it was worthwhile investing in some good tools as before my guitar alone was plugged straight into the back of the PC, and i had a cheap crappy mic which was completely wrong for me, i also got fed up changing leads around from guitar to mic. so i now use a dinky 8 track "Spirit Folio Lite" mixing desk. it's not extravagent but it's all i need, and don't take up much room underneath my PC.
and i also use a Senheisser e485s pro-balanced microphone for vox on my other stuff.
believe me, i need every technical help i can lay my hands on to get myself sounding ok _________________ Loch Lomond, Scotland. 4th Aug, 1996

Already done Songbird. I think that was one of the very first I did.
I have about 71 videos. About 60 are my own guitaring ones. I play them & post em. I dont practice for months before I post them. Usualy I have a beer or 6 while Im doing them which sometimes causes slight mistakes. I like mistakes though... It makes it unique in its own way.
When I was 16ish before youtube etc I used to buy bootlegs of oasis hoping Noel would play a nice solo etc. If there was variation from the album version it interested me imensly. _________________
