Went to Wolves vs. Liverpool last night - 1st half Liverpool where the better team but didn't rely create any chances - 2nd half and not just cos I'm a wolves fan we were the better team by miles - I'd say bout 75% of the time in the 2nd half the ball was in lpools half
Was impressed with Maxi Rodriguez - didn't recognise him at first as teams had been announced before I got in the stadium and couldn't hear the Liverpool team because of the abuse Reina was getting (for running down the pitch in the Anfield match last month to get Ward sent off)
was also very pleased with Kuyt - he's suprisingly fast and doesn't stop running all game
Gerrard wasn't 100% - that was obvious - so his display wasn't his best altho I must say I can't remember seeing a player want to win a match for his team so much - the frustration when lpool couldn't break down our defense (who I will come on to in a minute) was obvious from the look on his face but he just went running again
Carragher - right back last night so in all fairness out of position - was shocking - matt jarvis (very fast but not best at taking round players or crossing) and Doyle absolutley killed him all night

now onto wolves (sorry to bore you)
1st half it was us winning tackles/headers - give it straight to lpool - tackle/header - give back just an endless circle of that but 2nd half we were fantastic (maybe a bit of bias but I think it's allowed - the game was nearly 30 hours ago and I'm still ecstatic of result and peformance)
Hahnemann - I am a Wayne Hennessey fan and was gutted when he was dropped but Hahnemann has came in, commanded his area better and the defence look a lot more confident - Also much better at intercepting crosses than Wayne
Zubar - wasn't sure when he first came in and didn't play for 2/3 months, then few average displays, then injured then scored at weekend vs Palace - his confidence has has gone straight up and lady night he was fantastic!! Fans love him too
Berra - came in last year and looked dodgy in championship- very dodgy so imagine going into a prem season with him as one of 3 fit CBs but has came in and been AMAZING!! last night he absolutley dominated the Liverpool attack
Craddock - going into a new prem season with a larglt unproven CB (stearman), Berra (as I've just said) and a 34/5 year old Jody Craddock was worrying but what a pro! He came close to leaving 2 years ago and wasn't wanted - still has come in and been amazing! Scored 3 or 4 goals and has probly been our player of season (alongside Doyle and Berra)
midfield as whole - need a proven winger!! And a CM would help as Milijas has only played the full 90 once this season
strikers - doyle 6.5m - bargain of the season - best player we've had at wolves since lescott and robbie keane! Really really talented player - shame Ebanks Blake can't get a goal to boost his confidence

Sorry - didn't mean to ramble on for so long :D
going to Hull away this Saturday - not for the first time it's the biggest game of our season so far! Win we get a bit of breathing space and but Hull further in danger
all season I've said Pompey, Hull and Burnley to go down and I'm sticking by that after last nite - play like that week in week out we will be fine
just inconsistency to worry bout

He's always been one.

What's wrong with Anderson (Man Utd), though?

We're motoring at the moment. 2 tough league games coming up next Villa away and Everton away. If (when ;) )we win them both, Beth Ditto can start clearing her throat ;)

SAHA SINKS CHELSEA AS MAN UTD DRAW

Chelsea's Barclays Premier League title ambitions suffered a setback as they went down to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of resurgent Everton at Goodison Park.

Louis Saha bagged a brace as the Toffees came from behind to register a win which saw Manchester United reduce the gap on the league leaders to a single point after they drew 1-1 at Aston Villa.

Florent Malouda opened the scoring for the visitors after 17 minutes but Saha exposed Chelsea's weakness from set-pieces by heading a 33rd-minute equaliser.

Saha had a penalty saved by Petr Cech just before half-time but the French striker more than atoned as he fired home the winner 15 minutes from time.

At Villa Park, United played for 60 minutes with 10 men as they held on for a 1-1 draw to move onto the shoulders of the leaders.

Villa took the lead after 19 minutes through Carlos Cuellar, the defender heading his third goal of the season to stun the visitors.

The lead did not last long with James Collins' own goal four minutes later restoring parity, but United's task became all the more difficult when Nani saw red for a two-footed lunge on Stiliyan Petrov after 29 minutes.

Arsenal enjoyed their night as they moved to within six points of the summit with a 1-0 win over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

Abou Diaby nodded home substitute Tomas Rosicky's cross for the only goal of the game after 72 minutes.

Liverpool went close to snatching a point inside the final 10 minutes but Ryan Babel saw his long-range effort strike the Gunners' crossbar as Arsene Wenger's men held on.

Wolves posted a famous Premier League double over Tottenham thanks to a 1-0 win at Molineux.

Midfielder David Jones' first league goal of the season after 27 minutes gave Wolves the three points as Mick McCarthy's men pulled themselves out of the relegation zone.

A superb free-kick from Alessandro Diamanti set West Ham on their way to a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Birmingham at Upton Park which lifted the Hammers out of the drop zone.

The Italian swept home the opener on the stroke of the interval before England striker Carlton Cole doubled the hosts' advantage after 67 minutes.

Blackburn further eased their relegation worries as they ran out narrow 1-0 winners against Hull.

Rovers hit the front after 16 minutes when Martin Olsson's low drive across the face of goal was diverted into the net off Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.

Confirmation that it was not to be Hull's night arrived when George Boateng - the hero of the weekend win over Manchester City - saw red for leading with his arm in an aerial challenge with Morten Gamst Pedersen five minutes before the break.

What a great night of results :) Certainly makes things interesting!
