Noel Gallagher To Appear In Coronation Street Next Year?
Coronation Street chiefs want to bring back Hilda Ogden and others to the cobbles.
Show favourites Mavis Wilton, Curly Watts and Tracy Barlow could also return – alongside a guest appearance by Oasis star Noel Gallagher.
ITV bosses are busy planning next year’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
And producer Kim Crowther is currently trying to line up Noel, 42.
In an online live chat with fans, producer Kim let slip they are planning the return of some old faces next year.
She said: “There may well be some exciting returning cast in the new year.
“We are planning lots for the 50th anniversary; it will be must-see television. It would be fab to see Tracy Barlow [Kate Ford, 32] back, wouldn’t it?
“I would love to bring Hilda back – and Mavis. Noel Gallagher would be great. There are also plans for some new faces in the factory.”
Other characters rumoured to be making a comeback include Karen, played by Suranne Jones, 30, and Curly, played by Kevin Kennedy, 48.
Jean Alexander, 83, played cleaner Hilda and her final scenes in 1987 attracted more than 27million viewers.
Mavis, played by Thelma Barlow, 80, left the show in 1997.

Sara's left Dougie, ages ago.
And Maria's fucked off to Ireland whilst she has a baby in real life.
So it'll have to be Carla and Michelle Connor, sister in laws by marriage only so its all good

I dont watch Corrie, so I dont really know whos who, but "Sara" is Sara MacDonald - Noel's gf, the only way Id welcome him appearing in it would be if Sara (i.e. Noel's Sara) had a lesbian affair with Maria, or someone equally hot!

so thats TWO controversial storylines in one, cos theyre both 15
