Rude. Is it just me or was he trying to nudge Noel into slagging off Liam for the entire interview?

"Is he jealous of your songwriting?" - "Do you blame him for not making it big in America?" - "Liam hates Wonderwall. Discuss." - "Do you think ____ is the reason why you don't get along?" And my favourite: "Is he a bit stupid?"

I agree. He was very rude. It was a shame because it was one of the best interviews Noels done in a while, he was being very polite and was nice about Liam so I thought it was horrible trying to get him to slag him off & keeping insulting him. Also he said Be Here Now wasn't very good. What an idiot. It's a great album & Noel is right, the only thing wrong with it is it followed Morning Glory. My favourite part of the interview was when Noel said to him "You're a very very very very bitter and difficult man" that made me LOL I still enjoyed it anyway, just a shame the interviewer was such a dick.

Think Dave's always been like that. He's interviewed Noel numerous times since 1994 and IIRC, he's always pushed Noel a bit, not just accepting the stock answer Noel sometimes gives. It's a good thing, you often hear Noel get asked a good question yet he'd rarely elaborate on the answer.

Agreed - good post. He should be grilled a bit more, not sucked off in every interview, like he normally is, it makes for a more interesting interview. Plus, Dave Fanning knows him pretty well, so feels comfortable with him and asking him whatever.
