Hello I thought I would just start come topics for the Oasis DVDs I have just got. Feel free to put your own comments/review in here.

I will do mine once I've watched it. Wink

Definitely Maybe was released on DVD in September 2004 to mark the tenth anniversary of its original release. It went triple platinum in the UK. The DVD featured an hour-long documentary about the recording of the album featuring rare and contemporary interviews with the band and its associates. Also included was the album in its entirety, which included "Sad Song", which was originally only released on the UK vinyl version of the album and also on the Japanese CD edition. Other content included live and TV performances of the albums twelve tracks, and the promo videos to "Supersonic" (UK & US versions), "Shakermaker", "Live Forever" (UK & US versions), "Cigarettes & Alcohol" and "Rock 'n' Roll Star".

A limited-edition release in the UK and Ireland included a bonus DVD containing more live footage and anecdotes.

There was also an accompanying made-for-TV documentary, entitled There We Were, Now Here We Are...: The Making Of Oasis. This was broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK at 11:30pm on Friday, September 3, three days before the release of the Definitely Maybe DVD. The programme combined existing and unused interview footage from the DVD documentary and focused on the origins of the band, and the four singles from Definitely Maybe. It also included a very rare clip of "All Around the World" performed live at a rehearsal session in the Boardwalk in 1992, five years before it was eventually recorded and released on Be Here Now.

The DVD received the NME award for Best DVD, beating Nirvana’s With the Lights Out, Pixies’ Pixies, Scissor Sisters’ We Are Scissor Sisters and So Are You and The White Stripes’ Under Blackpool Lights.

hmm, i've only watched it the once, now i'm in the mood to watch it again. it certainly is a solid package with live versions and all the promos, plus a special hour long interview and more.

why is it that they haven't released especially WTSMG & BHN (and others) on DVD yet? Sad

I love this DVD best out of all the Oasis DVD releases. It has a stack of hidden content also but I forget where (my copy is in Australia and Im in Germany). I tried to find a complete list online but the best I could come up with was this little description:

Bonus Clips:
On Definitely Maybe disc one. As the album is playing on screen on the right you have the promo the left you have the live stuff and above is the doc

but on some songs if you press your Down button you get a easter egg (or more stories)

as i said before its only on a few songs (i forget now which songs it works on and the ones it doesn't but try it with every song)

but my best one has to be with married with children go on it press your Down button and there's a little thing about guigsy

I would advise every Oasis fan to listen to this little doc on him but when you see a letter come on screen pause it and read (its a small letter and it will explain why he wasn't on the documentary)

Sad Song is supposed to be on there and it is its like on the hindu times cd after definitely maybe has finished wait for a few minutes and then Sad Song comes on and there is a live performance of this song by Noel on the later show

during that 'wait' between Married With Children and sad song…… Press down - you get Wibbling Rivlary

This is an awesome DVD, I really wish they'd do one like this for each album!
