When football became trendy and fashionable to like again, along with it came a huge rise in prices to go and watch it. The up side to that was that it attracted more families, more middle-class ppl, who wouldnt swear, cause trouble, fight etc. The down side was that it alienated its principal audience - young, working class guys, who are more loyal, will stick by the club through thick and thin are more passionate and create the atmosphere at the games.

Whats your thoughts? What are prices for sporting events like where you live?

Yea sporting prices are rediculous. When I went to a premier league game back in 2000 the price was 30 pounds then for a cheap seat.

The football players are on way to much money... Lampards on a bit with Chelsea now aint he?

The wages dont bother me overly much, I'd far rather the players got it than the directors taking a cut, for example.

But, I don't believe that clubs NEED to charge the fans the level they are, because the main source of income is longer from the fans, its more important receiving Sky's money and sponsorship deals - both of these massive sources of income should have helped to subsidise ticket prices being kept down.
