In Melody Maker 27 April 1996 Noel was being asked his songwriting. One of the questions was:

"Are there any lyrics about Liam?"

Noel: "Yeah, Take Me Away - he was doing my head in - "you could be me and pretty soon you will be".

He then went on to say that Acquiesce WASNT about/for Liam (as the interviewer had suggested) but rather for his girlfriend.

I love that part of the songit is such smooth romantic love song I hear it every day Very Happy

This song means a lot to me cos it's the first song I ever learned to play on the guitar about 12 years ago now.

I still listen to it all the time, I love just how soothing the song is.
