I think I use the same as you mate. (For my electric) Hey If somehow I can record to Audacity (& find a microphone) is there a way of playing to tempo so that the solo/guitaring is accurate with time? Btw I have 2 kids & will do my best but dont get angry if Im held up. lol We need some other guitarists here. Maybe it will be worth PMing some of the above mentioned oasisrock guitarists aswell

The idea would be that when What's the story has recorded the drum track, he would post it here for us to download. Then the track is taken into audacity and other instruments are played on top of it while listening to the drumming. So there would be no hassle with trying to get them fit. Separately played tracks can be a pain in the arse to get fit, even if they were played on the same tempo. The rhythm would probably be the next thing to record on the drums, so that gives the base for riffs and soloing. The bass, if there ever will be one, can be added last, imo.

You'd need a drum track for them, though. We have a few songs on the list to do next, Live Forever being the first, but we're desperately lacking players.

Whats The Story? wrote: Tbh Jarvis...it would make things easier if the bass was done on top of the drums, before any guitar is done, this sets the basis for the ryhthm section and the guitars will be done easier. I have Live Forever on my memory stick so i will put it up a bit later. It should be ok but the toms i was using weren't amazing and i haven't touched with any of the levels/mixing yet. It should suffice though. Yeah you're right, it would be ideal to record the bass next, but as there's no bass player here to be seen, I think the rhythm could be done next and the bass could be added last, if we find a person for that. If we don't, the bass line could be recorded just using a guitar, it's better than no bass at all. So I just meant that it's possible to add the bass last, whereas the lead guitar for exmple couldn't be played without the rhythm. I'm starting to feel we're not getting a real bass, though. If there was a bass player in this forum who was interested, he would already have revealed himself.
