Hello I thought I would just start come topics for the Oasis DVDs I have just got. Feel free to put your own comments/review in here.

I will do mine once I've watched it. Wink

Live By The Sea is a live recording by Oasis, released on DVD and VHS. It features Oasis' gig at the Southend Cliffs Pavilion on April 17, 1995, as well as the videos for Rock 'N' Roll Star and Cigarettes & Alcohol. The title is a play on the lyrics from the song (It's Good) To Be Free.

All songs by Noel Gallagher, except I Am The Walrus, by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

"Rock 'N' Roll Star"
"Columbia"
"Digsy's Dinner"
"Some Might Say"
"Live Forever"
"Up In The Sky"
"Acquiesce"
"Headshrinker"
"(It's Good) To Be Free"
"Cigarettes & Alcohol"
"Married With Children"
"Sad Song" *
"D'yer Wanna Be a Spaceman?" * (This song is not performed all the way through as Noel makes a mistake and neglects to continue)
"Talk Tonight" *
"Slide Away"
"Supersonic"
"I Am the Walrus"

* Noel Gallagher's solo acoustic set

why has the tracklisting being put twice? Laughing

i remember living in Canvey Island Essex at the time the gig was about to happen. i had only just recently got into Oasis with a cassette of DM my bro brought home from the local library one afternoon.

i wanted to go to the gig but never had the money to, it was probably sold out by then anyway. it's one amazing gig i would've loved to of gone to. i have both a VHS and DVD copy of it now. Liams vox was at his natural best back then i think.

Yea I remember watching this back in 95. Its very raw. Punky if you like in parts. Tonys drumming suited the early days with oasis didnt it?

Shame Noel stuffed up on "D'Yer wanna be a spaceman"

I havent watched this in years. I had it on the old video format and its back in Australia with all my stuff so I cant exactly put it on tonight.

From memory I didnt think it was sensational. A good memory to have of where they were at at the time. Never liked Tonys drumming. At the time I didnt mind but since, when you`ve heard the songs done without him, its hard to go back and listen.

Fair enough, Live By The Sea is better imo, well worth it.
