But who will do it? I thought Arctic Monkeys could fill the gap Oasis leaves behind, but their last album was, IMO, quite shite.
Coldplay is a current worldwide representative, but one band isn´t enough.
It will be very hard, or even impossible to beat the last 50 years of music:
The Beatles, Stones, Who, Cream, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Oasis, and more...

They are good, but not great. Honestly, I think that Oasis is probably the last great band in music history.

You´re so right!

I share Liam´s opinion, although I also like the bands dustandroses has named, but 90% of all so called "indie" bands (no serious band is independent nowadays) are just shite, IMO.

Oasis really was the last great band!

agre with both of you.
to :D&R I like the last shdow pubbets to their album was great . I love standing next to me and meeting place cvvv

agreed. but the cream of the crop of indie are the best bands of our generation, which of course aren't in the same league as the best of past generations. what Oasis were, I doubt anyone could fully follow in their footsteps.
